Bunkhouse occupants will have access to the swimming pool during certain hours. Modest bathing suits are required.
A Sunday evening snack will be provided. Meals will be provided from Monday morning through Noon on Friday.
$565 including tax in addition to the workshop cost. This includes lodging in a Double-Occupancy Room.
If you’d like to request a single occupancy room, the cost is $1,000 for the length of stay.
Individuals will be paired with another workshop attendee of the same sex except for instances where couples attending a couple’s workshop are allowed to room together. (Couples are not allowed to room together for the Discovery to Recovery workshop.)
Check-in and Check-out
Length of stay is from Sunday evening through Friday morning.
Check-in on Sunday is from 5:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m.
Check-out is on Friday in the morning before the workshop sessions.
On the day of check-out, participants will be asked to bring a lock for their suitcase which can be left in the room while they finish the workshop. The lock is required as rooms will be serviced during the day on Friday.
For those individuals who are staying with us in the Bunkhouse, transportation will be provided to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Transport times are as follows:
Sunday Arrival: A shuttle will pick up guests at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Participants will need to find their way to the East Economy Lot. A phone number for a driver will be provided in case they become lost or need additional assistance.
Friday Departure: There is one shuttle departure from Rio Retreat on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. All Rio Retreat guests will be taken back to the airport at this time. If you do not have a flight back on Friday night, you may want to find lodging near the airport. There are no exceptions and no stay overs beyond Friday as there are no staff/services available at the bunkhouse on Saturdays.
Unfortunately we cannot offer any additional shuttle times for workshops. If you cannot make one of the above shuttle times, you will be responsible for your own transportation.
Cancelling Workshop and Bunkhouse Reservations
We rely on an accurate attendance count to make important arrangements for your workshop. If a cancellation occurs more than 14 days prior to the start of the workshop, a full refund, less a $600 administrative fee will be issued or an allowance is made for a one-time transfer to another workshop date. There is a $100 transfer fee for this service. Cancellations 14 days or less before the beginning date of the workshop are non-refundable.
If you have to cancel or transfer your workshop, please contact our Intake Department at 866-986-3225 as soon as possible—we often have a waiting list of people who want to attend.
Cancel Bunkhouse Reservation Only
For those who have reserved lodging at the Rio Retreat Bunkhouse and choose to cancel only their lodging, the following cancellation policy applies: for cancellations more than 14 days prior to the first night of your stay a $150 cancellation fee applies. Cancellations 14 days or less are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your reservation, please contact our Intake Department at 866-986-3225 as soon as possible.
